Kristin Fischer is set to join CNN as the Space and Defense Correspondent in July 2021. In her position as the Space and Defence Correspondent for CNN, she is responsible for covering all aspects of space, from NASA and the newly formed Space Force up until commercial space firms, as well as the advent and growth of space tourism. Kristin was raised in the sector of space, as the daughter and granddaughter of NASA astronauts. For the last five years she's covered space policies under Biden and Trump Administrations in FOX News. Through this time, she covered the 2020 presidential campaign, two impeachment trial and two attempts to prevent the corona virus pandemic, as well as two different administrations' initiatives. The reporter also was on numerous trips with President and Vice President, including a top secret trip to Afghanistan together with the former president Donald Trump. Kristin has earned a Bachelor of Science Diploma in Journalism from Boston University. Kristin is married with a daughter, and her three-year-old son in Washington, D.C.
